Wayne R. Heiser, age 73, of Watertown, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Wayneís loving and generous spirit continues to touch lives. It was his desire that when he passed on, he would give the gift of body donation to improve modern medicine and research.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to St. Johnís Lutheran Church or to the Watertown Humane Society. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Wayne Robert Heiser was born on May 31, 1943 in Watertown, the son of Alvin and Viola (nee Staude) Heiser. He was a 1961 graduate of Watertown High School. On May 25, 1963, he married the former Sharon Krueger at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown. He had been employed at Wispak in Watertown and Schweigerís in Jefferson as well as Custom Products from which he retired. Wayne enjoyed woodworking, making wood tables that were well in demand at the Lake Arrowhead Campground. He loved going up to the trailer and spending time with family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon Heiser; caring mother, Viola Heiser; three daughters, Victoria (Andrew) Penza of Watertown; Kristine (Rory) Lamp of Oconomowoc; Jennifer (Michael) Krakow of Watertown; three grandchildren, Christopher (April) Penza; Samantha Krakow and Tyler Krakow as well as one great-grandson, Elliot Penza. He is further survived by his sister, Sharon Ferry; brother, Steven (Sally) Heiser as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Heiser and brother-in-law, Dennis Ferry.
