He was born on April 24, 1947 in Thorp, the son of Howard and Beulah (Launspach) Ehlert. On April 27, 1968 he married the love of his life, Pamm M. Norris-Wadzinski.
Paul worked as an Engineering Project Leader and fulfilled a life-long dream when he started his woodworking business. He was a dedicated member of the NRA and an avid hunter. Paul was a member of the Baha'i Faith.
Paul was a devoted husband, beloved father and adored grandfather. He is survived by his wife Pamm, his mother Beulah Ehlert, and five children; Tamara (Jim) Polsin, Paulanne (Joel) Sukow, Sara (Jason) Tracy, Paul (Erin) Ehlert and Elena (Brad) Fitch; four grandchildren, Evan, Lillian, Vivienne and James, five sisters; Judy, Connie, Susan, Nancy and Patti, three brothers; Richard, William and Brian, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his father Howard, a son Eric, a brother Alan, and granddaughters Emily and Evangeline.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown. Visitation begins at 1pm followed by the service at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at the Farmington Cemetery. The Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown are serving the family.
