She was born in Ixonia on October 29, 1935, daughter of Norman and Lydia (Bartel) Wegner.
On January 10, 1953, Joyce married Donald Dorn.
She was a school bus driver for 28years, working for Dousman and Oconomowoc Transports.
Joyce was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Ixonia and its Ladies Aid. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and playing bingo.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of Watertown; two children, her son Dennis (Ann) Dorn of Watertown and her daughter, Lou (George) Engelke of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Tarah Engelke of Portland, OR; Jaime (Adam) Fischer, Jody (Matthew) Busshardt, Becky (Tyler) Stockhus all of Watertown, and Brian (Kirstin) Dorn of Oconomowoc; great grandchildren, Branden and Breckin Fischer, Charlotte Rose Dorn, Kaylin, Kaydence & Mason Busshardt, Brynn & Chloe Stockhus and a great grandson due this month
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers, Hilbert, Vilas, Delano and Donald, and three in infancy. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7th at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia with The Rev. Martin Stuebs and the Rev. Allen Tetzlaff officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
Visitation will be on Sunday at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown from 3 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the church or to the family.
