Arthur W. Ninmann, 83, of Watertown passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at UW Hospital in Madison surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Dale Vlastnik of St. Johnís Lutheran in Johnson Creek officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home following the service by the Johnson Creek VFW #305. Memorials would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Arthur William Ninmann was born on January 23, 1934 on the family farm in Clyman to Paul and Mabel (nee Kaul) Ninmann, one of 16 children. Art served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He was baptized, confirmed, and was married at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman. On September 28, 1957 he was married to Audrey Hilgendorf by Rev. Wilfrid Frick.
Arthur had many jobs over the years including: dairy farming, Hevi-Duty in Watertown, veal calf feeding, Village Terrace Mobile Home Park manager, Sentry Equipment in Oconomowoc, and Crepaco in Lake Mills. He was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek, and Johnson Creek VFW #305. Arthur enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of the Jefferson County Snowmobile Alliance and a Charter member of the J.C. Riders Snowmobile Club. He liked spending time at Pineland Campground in the Adams-Friendship area. Arthur Enjoyed Wii Bowling with fellow residents.
He is survived by his wife Audrey Ninmann of Watertown; sons: David (Donna) Ninmann of Watertown, Rodney (Kim) Ninmann of Sun Prairie, Brian (Renee) Ninmann and Bruce (Mary Nehls) Ninmann both of Watertown; ten grandchildren: Eric (Kacey) Ninmann, Kendra Ninmann, Cole Ninmann, Bradley Niay, Cordell Niay, Joshua Ninmann, Leah Ninmann, Alex Ninmann, Becky (Jed) Ceriacks, Larrisa Ninmann; one great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Lucille Moke of Watertown, Ethel Leitzke of Hustisford, Hazel Kuepfer of LaCrosse, Arlene Schuett of Clyman and a brother Ted Ninmann of Watertown; sisters-in-law: Mary Jane Ninmann and Kathy Ninmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Lori Jean Ninmann, siblings: Paul Ninmann, Jr., Richard Ninmann, Willard Ninmann, Wilfred Ninmann, Larry Ninmann, Ronald Ninmann, Myrtle Jaeckle, Evelyn Nehls, Jeanette Kubly, Betty Wolf, and his favorite buddy Pepper.
