A visitation followed by a time of sharing will be held on Monday, July 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, concluding with Military Rites.
Carl John Seeber was born in Watertown on June 3, 1937, son of Joseph and Irma (Iwen) Seeber Sr.
Carl served in the U.S. Army and was in the Active Reserve from 1954 to 1962. On July 1, 1961, he married Darlene A. Jahnke at the Methodist Church in Watertown. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2012.
He had been employed at Eaton Corp. and ACI as a machinist, totaling 41 years. Carl was a private pilot with multi-engine, instrument, and commercial ratings. He had also served as an alderman for the city of Watertown.
Carl enjoyed flying, deer hunting and fishing with family and friends, and trips to the casino.
Survivors include his three sons, John (Jane) Seeber and Paul (Bonnie) Seeber, both of Watertown, and Andy (Sally) Seeber of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Brenna Seeber, Paige (Nick) Zastrow, Steven and Heather Seeber; three brothers, Richard (Penny), Thomas (Pam), and Ralph (Sally); five sisters, Arlene (Jack) Paddock, Mary Ann (Glenn) Manke, Diane, Doris, and Sharon Wolff; a special friend, Marge Ruud; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Carl was also preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Georgian; and four brothers, Joseph Jr., Earl, James, and Kenneth.
