Wallace A. Schuenke, 88, of Jefferson, formerly of Watertown, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Sylvan Crossing in Jefferson.
Funeral services for Wallace will be held on Monday, July 15th at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek with the Rev. Matthew Smith-Laubenstein officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Johnson Creek.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Wallace Albert was born in Johnson Creek on October 17, 1924, son of Albert and Clara (Siegmann) Schuenke. He was a 1942 graduate of the Johnson Creek High School and served in the US Army Air Force during WWII, in China. On April 21, 1951, Wallace married Delores Reichert at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington.
He had been employed at Condensery in Johnson Creek, then at Ladish Malt in Jefferson until 1954, at which that time he began farming in the Town of Farmington. Wallace then retired in 1990.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek, the Johnson Creek American Legion Post #305 and the Watertown VFW. Wallace was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs Fan and enjoyed gardening, bingo, baseball and dog racing.
Survivors include his wife, Delores, of Jefferson; five children, Beverly Schuenke of Plano, TX; Larry Schuenke of Johnson Creek; Robert (Janet) Schuenke of Jefferson; Cynthia (Randy) Else of Pewaukee and Mark (Bonnie) Schuenke of Delafield; seven grandchildren, Kristy (Jeremy DeBlare), Mitchell Schuenke, Ryan (Robyn) Schuenke, Jade Gromowski-Schuenke, Theresa Schuenke, Olivia Schuenke; Elizabeth Schuenke; three great grandchildren, Aiden DeBlare, Keegan DeBlare, Ella Schuenke; a sister-in-law, Pearl Schuenke of Lake Mills as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald; two brothers, Charles and Donald; three sisters, Gwendolyn Keeser, Evelyn Foskett and Elaine Chwala.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sylvan Crossing and Rainbow Hospice for the fine care they provided for Wally.
