A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 20, 2012 at Noon, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Watertown, with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family, to distribute to various organizations and charities in Bruce’s name.
Bruce Allen Ebert was born on January 29, 1945 in Watertown the son of Leo and Mae (Bence) Ebert. Bruce attended school in Watertown and was a 1964 graduate of the Watertown High School. On October 7, 1967 he married Mary J. Draeger at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Watertown. Bruce was employed at Waukesha Engines for 45 years. He was a member of (S.O.E.) Save Our Environment and he was a volunteer at the Watertown Humane Society and other organizations. Bruce loved the outdoors, animals, nature and hiking. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and antiques. Bruce loved riding his Spider motorcycle with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his wife Mary of Watertown, three children, Wendy (Russell Arndt) Arndt of Watertown, Craig (Naomi) Ebert of Perrysburg, OH and Nichole (Juan) Quintana of Lake Mills, seven grandchildren, Kory Arndt, Colleen Arndt, Joshua Ebert, Jacob Ebert, Justin Ebert, Aishlynn Ebert and Ayden Quintana, a sister Shirley Schlatter of Watertown, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Don Ebert and two sisters, Rita Hodel and Rachel Olson.
