Lorraine E. Feder, age 93, of Watertown passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Anthony Schultz and Rev. Mark Gartner officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Lorraine Esther Wing was born on September 5, 1921 in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of Asa and Anna (nee Mael) Wing. On November 6, 1971 she was united in marriage to Helmuth Feder at St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown by the Rev. Ervine Vomhof. Hal preceded her in death on November 17, 1982.
While living in Portage, Lorraine worked for the Badger Ordinance Works near Baraboo. Lorraine raised a family and worked in a number of factories in Watertown including Midstate Shoe Factory, Watertown Metals and Fisher Barton. Lorraine was a member of St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She was a former member of AARP #2007 and the Funsters. Lorraine had a past-time interest in crocheting, having crocheted many afghans for her children and grandchildren. Lorraine cherished the time spent with her family and enjoyed going on trips.
Lorraine is survived by three daughters, Virginia (Jim) Henning of Beaver Dam; Susie Schlesner of Watertown; Janet (Jeff) Samson of Wisconsin Rapids; one step-son, Allen (Pattie) Schlesner of Indian Land, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons, as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Anna; husband, Hal; son, Donald Schlesner; step-son, Larry Schlesner and brother, John Wing.
