William H. “Willie” Ulm, 80, of Watertown, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Dustin Yahnke officiating. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lakeside Lutheran High School, Rainbow Hospice or the charity of your choice. William Henry Ulm was born on December 14, 1936 in Watertown, the son of Fredrich and Adela (nee Schroeder) Ulm. Willie was a 1954 graduate of Johnson Creek High School. On April 14, 1956 he was united in marriage to Kathryn L. Zahn at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Kathryn preceded him in death on April 28, 2005. On October 9, 2016 he married Faye Mueller at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. Willie loved fixing things from cars to sewing machines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and giving people rides in his 1936 Nash Coupe. Prior to his career in the mattress industry, Willie worked for several local community businesses. After 25 years for Sealy Mattress, he spent 10 years at Symbol Mattress, from which he retired. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Willie is survived by his wife, Faye of Watertown; three sons, Bill (Jennine Eichel) Ulm, Dave (Judy) Ulm and Brian (Deidra) Ulm, all of Watertown; two step-children, Christopher (Michele) Mueller of Eau Claire and Michelle (Don Frentzel) Mueller of Watertown; seven grandchildren, Mollie Ulm, Eric (Alicia) Ulm, Tanya (Alex Anderson) Ulm, Aimee (Joshua) Jensen, Kristina Ulm, Quentin (Kayla Sivyer) Ulm and Kirsten Ulm; six step-grandchildren, Samantha (Cameron Field) Zubke, Bobbi Jo Trujillo-Zubke, Ryan (Marli) Kerr, Hallie Mueller, Lindsey Mueller and Andrew Mueller; great-grandchildren, Anastasia Jensen, Moriah Jensen and Charlie Ulm; three step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Janice Larson as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was the last member of his immediate family.
He was further preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jonathon Ulm and sister, Byrnece Manke.
