Eugene S. Corrie, age 60, passed away Saturday morning, July 27, 2013, at Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Fort Atkinson.
Eugene Steven Corrie was born in Gary, Indiana on July 25, 1953, son of Harold and Anna (Nauta) Corrie.
He was a 1971 graduate of Johnson Creek High School. On July 13, 1974, Eugene married the former Lynn Martin at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Concord.
Eugene had been employed at Carnation Co. in Oconomowoc and at Ransomes in Johnson Creek. He was a member of the Johnson Creek Fire Department and was a driver for the Johnson Creek Emergency Medical Service. He was a member of the Village Board for many years and was a past president. Eugene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington and Church Council. He enjoyed tractors, mowing lawn, and coffee at Pine Cone.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn of Johnson Creek; three children, Steven (Naomi) Corrie of
Yuma, AZ; Michael (Nicole) Corrie of Hartford; Daniel (Kristen) Corrie of Waukesha; five grandchildren, Brent, Lucas, Natalie, Nora and Nevaeh; his brothers and sisters, Antonette Herschi of Watertown; Anthony Ponda of Kiel; Lee Corrie of Spring Lake Park, MN; Dave Corrie of Oconomowoc and Sandy Corrie of Waterloo, and other relatives and friends.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Scheiber.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington, with the Rev. Richard Pagels officiating. Innichement will be in the Parish Cemetery Columbarium.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Fort Atkinson, Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek or to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington.
