Myrtle M. Krueger, 92, of Watertown passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 with her family by her side at Marquardt Health Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Watertown with Rev. John Kennedy officiating. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
Family and friends may gather at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the Watertown Humane Society or charity of one’s choice.

Myrtle Mildred Hoof was born on July 17, 1922, the daughter of Herman F. and Lillian E. (Kleinsteiber) Hoof, in Watertown. On January 29, 1938 she married the love of her life Elmer “Elmo” Krueger in Watertown. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1990.
Myrt worked at Carnation Instant Co. in Oconomowoc for several years and later, along with her husband, owned and operated Elmo and Myrt’s Tavern in Watertown until her retirement. She then loved babysitting her Laura “Love” for 10 years.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, baking her famous cookies, but most of all spending time with her family. Myrt also liked sending cards and letters to out of town family and friends.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Watertown.
Myrtle is survived by her son, Vernon (Margaret) of Santa Ana, CA; three daughters, Patricia (John) Reichardt of Santa Ana, CA, Susan (Dave) Krattiger, Peggy (John) Theder both of Watertown; 10 grandchildren, Tony (Carlos) Reichardt, Vicki (Javier) Reichardt-Lima, Vincent (Sarah) Reichardt, Cheryl (Kenny) LaRue, Teri (Mike) Uren, Kirk (Kris) Krueger, David Krattiger, Jodi (Andy) Newman, Kristi (Don) Theder, Laura Theder; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Georgian “Ginger” Hoof, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was the last member of her immediate family.
She was further preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Alfred (Marie) Hoof, Wilmer “Wimpy” Hoof, and a sister Beverly in infancy.
The family would like to thank Barb Butler and the staff of Marquardt Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to Myrt and her family.
