Viola A. Milbrath, age 98, of Watertown, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington with Rev. Paul Burk officiating. Interment will take place at St. Stephenís Lutheran Cemetery in Concord. Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Peterís Lutheran School in Helenville or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington. Viola Anna Sukow was born on April 14, 1918 in Farmington, the daughter of Otto and Clara (nee Schildbach) Sukow. On May 21, 1939 she married Harold Milbrath at St. Peterís Lutheran Church in Helenville. Harold preceded her in death on March 25, 1992. Viola volunteered at Twice As Nice in Jefferson. She loved to bake and cook.
Viola is survived by her five children, Ronnie (Ellen) Milbrath of Watertown; Tony (Janis) Milbrath of Helenville; Karen (David) Christian of Farmington; Gary (Connie) Milbrath of Watertown; Paul (Vicki) Milbrath of Helenville; twelve grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren as well as four great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brother, Floyd (Bernice) Sukow of Farmington; three sisters-in-law, June Sukow of Jefferson; Shirley Sukow also of Jefferson and Ruth Buske of Johnson Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers: Earl, Donald and Dennis Sukow; sister, Dorothy Kroll as well as granddaughter, Tammy Jo (Milbrath) Heine.
