Paul Franklin MacAskill was born in Duluth, MN on September 12, 1959, the son of Robert and Ruth (Lundhagen) MacAskill. On September 27, 2008 Paul joined his life forever with his partner and wife Kay Maas (Schuhmacher) in Waukesha, WI. Together they watched their family grow with love to include new members and friends whom they considered family as well.
Paul was an excellent handyman whose passion led to a 30 year career in maintenance with his most recent role being the maintenance manager at MGS Techstar in Germantown, WI. However, his truest passion was to be with those that he loved most, camping and enjoying his favorite outdoor activities such as fishing, campfires and sports. In recent years he and his wife Kay found a second family at Westward Ho Campground which is where he spent most of his free time living life to the fullest.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Kay; three children, Thomas (Stephanie) MacAskill of Watertown, Jocelyn MacAskill of Milwaukee and Clarese MacAskill of Cottage Grove; Step-son Lee (Pam) Schuhmacher and six grandchildren Breann, Haden, Harper, Dyonne, Ontarian and Bryce of Watertown; four siblings Bill (Jean) MacAskill of Winona, Bruce MacAskill of Reedsburg , Beth (Pat) Gunn of Carson City, NV, and John (Michelle) MacAskill of Madison; his father and mother-in law Willard and Lorna Maas of Watertown; two sibling in-laws Linda Bergman of Oconomowoc; Gary (Karen) Maas of Eau Claire; cousin Rene Selleck of Duluth as well as many more loving friends and family.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Paul Light.
Paul lived life to the fullest, on his terms and will be missed as he joins his parents now.
