Reynold C. Lamberton, 93, of Watertown, passed away Monday evening, July 30, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Watertown.
Funeral services for Reynold will be on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at noon at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, officiated by the Rev. Ron Kral of Christ United Methodist Church, in Watertown. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 11th, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials, in Reynold’s name, may be made to Camp Jorn in Manitowish Waters for their scholarship fund.
Reynold Clarkton Lamberton was born on August 29, 1918 in Driscoll Lake, Saskatchewan, son of Norman and Eleanor (Booth) Lamberton. On December 28, 1941, he married the former Gwendolyn Wensel in Waukesha. Gwendolyn preceded him in death on April 30, 1999.
Reynold had been employed with Sears Inc. as a Repairman.
He was a member Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown.
Reynold started with the Boy Scouts in 1952 as a pack leader at Webster Elementary School. He was later involved with Troop 158 at Christ United Methodist Church and served as Boy Scout Leader for many years. In the 80’s & 90’s, he was District Commissioner of the Potowatomi Council. He regularly led the local scouts on camping trips to Camp Long Lake. And at age 60 he climbed Mt. Philmont. His involvement with the scouts and climbing Mt. Philmont at age 60 was something he was very proud of.
Reynold loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved fishing.
Survivors include his two sons, William (Melody) Lamberton of Kohler; Peter (Brenda) Lamberton of Winnebego, IL; his five grandchildren, Lisa Lamberton, Nicole (Jesse III) Taylor, Katie Lamberton, Jamie (Lonny Andersen) Lamberton, Emily Lamberton; his seven great-grandchildren, Ashly (Phil) White, Jesse Taylor IV, Jamari Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Jared Lamberton, Allyson Almendarez and Jonathan Almendarez; a daughter-in-law, Karen Kunert of Franklin, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Reynold was the last member of his immediate family and was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and a brother and two step sisters.
