Eldon F. “Skip” Schultz passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia with Rev. Joel Free officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials would be appreciated to the church or to the charity of choice in Skip’s name. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. He was born on September 20, 1935 the son of Walter and Freda (Leonard) Schultz in Elkhorn. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958 serving in Germany. He went to schools in Waukesha and worked for Ladwig Co., Centrifugal in Waukesha and retired from Saelens Co. in Johnson Creek. He was a former member of Waukesha Parents Without Partners and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia. On December 10, 1993 he married Marilyn M. Schramm. Skip enjoyed watching sports especially the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Schultz of Watertown; his children: Brian (Jill) of Jefferson, daughter Janet (Jim) Cannon of Atlanta, GA, Cathy Schultz of Wauwatosa. He is also survived by a grandson Ryan (Melanie) Schultz of New Jersey; four step-children: Karmen (Mark) Finney, Kirk (Michelle) Schramm and Kara Garlanger all of Florida, and Kent Schramm of New Jersey. Also survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Martin and Jeraldine Jaeger of Ixonia; four step-grandchildren Kristin Schramm, Morgan Schramm, Ayden Garlanger, Jordyn Garlanger; special friends Dave and Janice Melcher, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua O’Brien; his parents; brother Elwood, and half-brothers: Larry, Leonard, Marvin, Robert Barber and half-sisters: Ida Johnson and Audrey DeSantis.
