Harold B. Hann, Sr., age 73, of Waterloo passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at his home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Baxter Exum of Four Lakes Church of Christ in Madison officiating. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorials to Four Lakes Church of Christ in Madison, Agrace Hospice, or to the Humane Society or charity of oneís choice are appreciated. Immediately following the service, a meal will be served in the lower level of the Heritage Inn Hotel, 700 E. Main St. Watertown, WI (One block East of the funeral home).
Harold Buckley Hann, Sr. was born on April 15, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona, to James and Aleta (Boles) Sadler. He graduated from Abilene High School in Texas. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy for four years where he served two tours in Vietnam. On December 5, 1964, he married the former Ruth Hellwig in Arlington Heights, IL. He owned and operated Hannís Construction in Waterloo since 1982. He was a very active member of Four Lakes Church of Christ in Madison where he served in numerous capacities. Harold was a member of the American Legion 233 in Waterloo. He was a member of the Boy Scouts where he earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. As an adult he served as District Chairmen for the Boy Scouts Four Lakes Council. He was a Town of Waterloo Supervisor for the past 14 years. Harold enjoyed fishing, golfing and street rodding with his 31í Chevy.
Harold is survived by his wife, Ruth of Waterloo; three children, Bucky (Donna) Hann of Ixonia; Eric Hann of DeForest; Jason Hann of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Tyler Hann, Colleen Hann and Blake Gullickson; sister, Marian Waldrip of Austin, TX as well as a nephew, special cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
