Margaret M. Frank Bauman
Margaret Martha Frank Bauman was born August 15, 1920 to Bert and Linda (nee Tischer) Ehlke in Jackson, WI. She was baptized and confirmed at Davidís Star Lutheran Church in Jackson. She helped on the family farm and later became a maid in Milwaukee.
On August 9, 1941 she was united in holy matrimony with Gus Frank at Davidís Star in Jackson. The Lord blessed them with four children.
During Gusí ministry, Margaret served faithfully as a pastorís wife, a mother, grandmother and homemaker first in Indian Creek, near Camp Douglas, WI then Rising City, Nebraska; Hillrose, Colorado; Hoskins, Nebraska and finally at St. Paulís Lutheran in Ixonia where he served until the time of his death on April 6, 1985.
For many years, Margaret drove school bus for St. Paulís school and in later years worked as a seamstress for Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Fischerís Department Store and for many individuals in the area. She also enjoyed gardening, scroll sawing, sewing, wine making, baking and making stained glass items.
On February 14, 1999, Margaret married Doc Bauman, a retired veterinarian. The couple lived in the Marquardt Village until Docís passing on November 19, 2008. Health issues made it necessary for Margaret to move to Highland House in October 2009.
The Lord called her out of this life to her eternal life August 23, 2015 at the age of 95.
She leaves to morn her passing four children, Rev. Joel (Judy) Frank of Plymouth, NE; Marie (Rod) Maas of Norfolk, NE; Phyllis (Dennis) Duddeck of Watertown; Mark (Maribeth) Frank of West Bend as well as one sister, Leola (Rueben) Herther of Jackson, WI. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Docís family includes Tom (Cheryl) Bauman of Woodbury, MN; Lindy (Larry) Parson of Denver, CO; Janet (James) Claxon of Marion, IN; James (Laura) Bauman of Woodbury, MN as well as 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 4:00 pm at St. Markís Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Karl Walther officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place at St. Paulís Lutheran Cemetery in Ixonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Markís Lutheran Church, Lakeside Lutheran High School or the charity of oneís choice are appreciated.
