Gordon R. Kemmerling, age 70 of Reeseville, passed away on Friday morning, August 28, 2015 at his home.
Gordon Ray Kemmerling was born on October 6, 1944 in Oconomowoc the son of Fred and Anna (Sorenson) Kemmerling. He was a graduate of the Oconomowoc High School in 1962. Gordon was married to Karen Weber in 1971. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, fishing, painting, reading the Bible and cars. Gordy was a loving, caring, talented and charismatic soul. He was a hard worker and had been employed at Crepaco in Lake Mills. Gordy loved spending time with his family and pets.
Gordy is survived by his wife Karen of Reeseville, a son, Daniel (Vicki) Kemmerling of Reeseville, five grandchildren, Alek (Sarah) Demetropoulos, Gordon Kemmerling III, Daniel Kemmerling Jr., Cassidy Jo Kemmerling and Toni Hummer, two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Bradi, a sister, Yvonne Raatz of Dousman, a brother, Richard Kemmerling of Reeseville, a sister-in-law, Gloria Kemmerling of Houston, TX., nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gordon Jr. (Tina) Kemmerling, a granddaughter, Samantha Kemmerling, three brothers, August Kemmerling, John Kemmerling and Fritz Kemmerling and a sister, Elsie Radtke.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday evening, September 3, 2015 at 7 pm at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. David Groth of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
