Phillip J. Baker, age 62, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, September 8, 2012, at the Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 4 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Deacon Oscar Rozo officiating. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials if desired are suggested to the charity of one’s choice. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.
Phillip James Baker was born on January 24, 1950 in Oconomowoc the son of James and Lois (Tremaine) Baker.
Phil attended school in Oconomowoc and was a 1968 graduate of the Oconomowoc High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Waukesha and Madison for four years. On November 28, 1970 he married the former Susan Howie at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Alderley. Phil was employed as a machinist at Cooper Industries in Waukesha for 35 years. He loved NASCAR Racing, the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. Phil enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Phil and Sue were very involved with the lives of their nieces and nephews. Phil was very close to his nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by them.
Phil is survived by his wife Sue of Watertown, five brothers, Stephen (Terri) Baker of Waukesha, Curtis (Denise) Baker of Lake Havasu, AZ, Howard of Lake Havasu, AZ, William (Judy) Baker of Watertown and Paul (Lisa) of Fort Wayne, IN a sister Susan Fuller of Pewaukee, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Phil was preceded in death by his parents and a brother George.
