Raymond R. Boltz, 91, of Jefferson, formerly of Watertown, passed away Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 at Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Fort Atkinson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14th at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Farmington with the Rev. Richard Pagels officiating. Entombment, with Military Graveside Rites, will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the church, Sienna Crest Assisted Living or to the charity of one’s choice.

Raymond Robert Boltz was born in Watertown on September 20, 1921, son of Edward and Helen (Schroeder) Boltz.
Ray attended Watertown High School and in 1942, enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served his country in the Rainbow Division of the U.S. Army and the medical corps in the Aleutians for two years. In August of 1944, he signed up for the infantry and served overseas in Europe and the Pacific. Ray was awarded a Silver Star, Purple Heart and other numerous metals.
He married the former Marion Reichert on June 19, 1949 in Farmington. He had been employed at the former Hevi-Duty Electric Company in Watertown for many years.
Ray was a member of the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Farmington and a life time member of the VFW Post #3709.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel of Jefferson; two sons, Richard (Sandra) Boltz of Jefferson and Bill (Lori) Boltz of Park Falls; two grandchildren, Trisha (Travis) Lambert and Michael Boltz; one great-grandchild, Prestin Boltz; two step-grandchildren, Amy and Steve Waters; two step-great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason Waters; two sisters, Lorraine Kuckkan of Watertown, Shirley Vergenz of Kenosho; a brother-in-law, Melvin Lange, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Ray in death were his parents; three sisters, Florence Glaznap, Helen Lindemann, Marion Lange; and one brother, Edward Boltz Jr.
