Marvin W. Kuenzi, 88, of Watertown, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Marquardt Health Center.
Funeral Services for Marvin will be held on Tuesday, September 15 at 3 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon with the Rev. David Phillips officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorials may be directed to the church, Marquardt Health Center, or the charity of one’s choice. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Marvin William Carl Kuenzi was born on August 4, 1927 at his home in Lebanon, WI, the son of Leonard and Elsie (Nass) Kuenzi. He was baptized on August 8, 1927 and confirmed on April 27, 1941 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon. On May 1, 1949, he married the former Dorothy Christian at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2015.
Marvin attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Lebanon and Watertown High School. For over 43 years Marvin and Dorothy farmed in the Town of Lebanon. He was also a carpenter and enjoyed working in his shop. Friends and family thought he could repair just about anything they brought him.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church Council for four years. He was also a member of the Izaak Walton League and the Lebanon Sportsmen’s Club. Marvin was a former member of the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department for many years. In 1940, he was one of nine charter members of the Lebanon Luckies Four 4-H Club. Marvin loved baseball and was a catcher for the Lebanon Baseball team. In 2007, he was inducted into the Rock River Baseball League of WI and Oldtimers’ Association Hall of Fame. He enjoyed hunting, watching birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. He also enjoyed time spent at the trailer on the Rock River. Most of all, Marvin loved spending time with family and friends.
Marvin is survived by a son, Allen (Susan) Kuenzi of Johnson Creek; a daughter, Jane (Gary) Prod of Pelican Lake. He is also survived by grandsons, Ryan Prod of Pelican Lake, Derek Prod of Hartford, Jonathan (Jennifer) Prod of Minneapolis, MN, and a great-grandson, Max. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, Oliver “Ollie” Christian; sisters-in-law, Ada Christian and Anna Christian as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marvin is also preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Arnold and Richard.
