Floyd L. Goecke, age 87, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown, with Rev. David Groth officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Floyd Louis Goecke was born on September 7, 1928 in Watertown, the son of Percy and Alice (Krueger) Goecke. He graduated from St. John’s Lutheran School and from Watertown High School in 1945. On March 11, 1946 Floyd married the former Margaret “Marge” Marshall. He was employed for ten years as a draftsman/engineer for Brandt Automatic Cashier of Watertown and sold legal forms to the State of Wisconsin as well as courthouses and banks. Floyd was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Watertown Jaycees and the Wethonkitha Club. Floyd loved bowling in many leagues over the years. He also enjoyed golfing and flying remote controlled airplanes as part of the Watertown Aeronautics’ Club.

Floyd is survived by his wife Marge of Watertown; a son, Dennis of Saukville; a daughter, Dianne (Clyde) Kennedy of Watertown; grandchildren, Erica (Jeff) Hoffmeister of Colorado, Fafani (Jason) Weinzierl of River Falls, Dr. Mariah (Dr. Michael) Zack of Cedarburg and Josiah (Mary Beth) Goecke of Chicago, IL, great-grandchildren; Marshall, Hayden, Abigail Hoffmeister; Raena and Harm Bents; Sam and Grace Weinzierl; Sebastien and Raegan Zack. He is further survived by a sister, Doris Crawford of Sun Prairie; a brother, Glenn (Linda) Goecke of Minnetonka, MN and sister-in-law, Jean Schwefel of Watertown.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Miles in infancy; daughter-in-law Jan Rae Goecke and brothers-in-law LaVerne, Robert, Tom Marshall, Lloyd Schwefel and Herbert Crawford.
