Delia J. Mattison, of Watertown, passed away at the age of 92.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ethel (Christiansen) Mack; her seven siblings and their mates, her first husband, George Parks; a grandson, Todd Hoffman; a daughter, Kathleen Hoffman and her second husband, John L. Mattison.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Schmidt, a son-in-law, Larry Hoffman; 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 20 step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Delia worked 31years for the U.S. Federal Government. Her religious faith carried her through the tests and trials of life. In 1998, she married her childhood sweetheart, John L. Mattison. As soul-mates, they studied the Bible together, attended meetings and conventions of their religious faith in other countries and states and traveled to Korea to visit John’s daughter, Judith, who was serving there in the ministry.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Saturday, September 20th at 11 a.m with Bruce Shaw and Edith Mack officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
A private burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Poynette.
