Darlene A. Seeber, 69, of Watertown, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at UW Hospital in Madison, following a lingering illness.
The funeral service for Darlene will be held on Tuesday, September 25, at 7 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, with the Rev. Ron Kral of Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown officiating. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
The former Darlene Ann Jahnke was born in Watertown on December 4, 1942, daughter of Oscar and Violet (Witte) Jahnke. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1960, and on July 1, 1961, Darlene married Carl Seeber at the Methodist Church in Watertown.
She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and the Green Bay Packers, deer hunting and fishing with her family, and trips to the casino.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Carl Seeber of Watertown; her three sons, John (Jane) Seeber of Watertown; Paul (Bonnie) Seeber of Watertown; Andy (Sally) Seeber of Helenville; her four grandchildren, Brenna Seeber, Paige (Nick) Zastrow, Steven Seeber, and Heather Seeber; two brothers, Myron (Charlene) Jahnke of Waukesha and Ken (Ellen) Jahnke of Wichita Falls, Texas; three step-grandchildren, Greg Kulick, Matt (Sarah) Kerr, and Melissa (Chad) Dummer; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Darlene in death were her parents and a sister, Dolores (Robert) Grunewald.
