Dean “JR” Lenius
Service: October 7, 2013
Dean “JR” Lenius
Dean “JR” Lenius, beloved son of Dean Lenius Sr. and Linda Lenius (Martin) passed on into eternal life September 23rd, 2013, at the age of 43, in Orlando, Florida, following a year long heroic battle with Leukemia.
JR was born on April 26th, 1970 at Kincheloe Air Force Base in Kinross, Michigan. After the family moved to Watertown a short time later, JR attended St. Paul’s Lutheran grade school in Ixonia. He graduated in 1989 from Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills and moved to Milwaukee, Atlanta, and finally settled down in Orlando.
He may have worn several hats throughout his professional life, but JR’s most proud accomplishment was starting his own residential and commercial cleaning service. JR owned and operated his business successfully until it became physically impossible for him to do so. He was also a sales representative for Badcock Furniture, a business owned by his dear friends near Orlando, until shortly after his diagnosis in September 2012.
Simply said, to know JR was to love him. To begin to describe in words the lives that JR touched throughout his life would be nothing short of impossible. His sense of humor and ability to light up a room with laughter will forever be remembered in the stories told by those whom knew and loved him. His smile was one in a million and his signature laugh will continue to be heard in the minds of many for eternity. Although his time with us was way too short, JR left behind for us a lifetime of stories and memories to share and he will never be forgotten.
JR is survived by his parents, Dean and Linda (Martin) Lenius; his brother, Daniel (Shayna) Lenius, his sister, and life-long best friend, Dana (CJ) Micale and maternal grandmother “Gumma”, Emmy Lenius, all of Watertown. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, every one of his “Favorite Nieces”, Savannah Lenius, Serena Lenius, Alex Dearborn, Sophia Lenius, Harlee Micale, Sienna Lenius, Cecilia Micale, as well as other relatives and many dedicated friends.
JR was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Mary Martin and paternal grandfather, Ronald Lenius.
There will be a Memorial Gathering held at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Monday, October 7th, 2013 from 3-6 PM. At 5:30PM there will be a Reflection of His Life, where memories of JR can be shared.
In lieu of flowers, memorials, in JR’s name, may be given to the Watertown Humane Society.
