Wayne W. Van Lare, 72, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at River Hills West Healthcare Center in Pewaukee.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, October 8th in the chapel at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia with Rev. Matthew Lee officiating. Military graveside rites will be held at the conclusion of the memorial service.
Relatives and friends may gather at the chapel from 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wayne’s name may be given to Disabled American Veterans.

Wayne Walter Van Lare was born in Waukesha on May 29, 1942, son of Walter and Gladys (Zimmerman) Van Lare. He was a 1960 graduate of Arrowhead High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart. On September 1, 1984, Wayne married Caroline M. Edwards in Waukesha.
He was a self employed residential carpenter and enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his children, John (Bridget) Van Lare of Hartford; Eric (Mary) Van Lare of Ixonia; four step-children, Danette Schulz of Hustisford; Richard (Cindi) Husting of North Lake; Ray (Barb) Kleemeier of Watertown and Theresa Berlin of Ixonia; twelve grandchildren, Catherine, Eleanor, Alexandra, Andy, Ryan, Joey, Neal, Kyle, Andrew, Brittany, Cara and Kami; a great-grandchild, Jayden; a sister, Sharron (Harold) Roberts of Delafield; two brothers, Dale Van Lare of Kenosha and Keith (Susie) Van Lare of Oconomowoc, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Caroline on March 12, 2012.
