Rosemarie A. “Rosie” Wagner, age 81, of Watertown, passed away on Monday morning October 8, 2012 at Marquardt Memorial Manor.

The former Rosemarie Anna Storbeck was born on October 9, 1930 in Watertown the daughter of Carl and Anna (Heitzmann) Storbeck. Rosie was a 1948 graduate of the Watertown High School. On August 4, 1950 she married Melvin M. Wagner in Dubuque, Iowa. Rosie had been employed at Tetzlaff Pharmacy, Fischer’s Department Store and Walmart all in Watertown. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown and a former member of the Watertown American Legion Auxiliary and the Watertown Country Club. Rosie loved playing Bridge. She enjoyed reading and playing Wii Bowling.

Rosie is survived by her husband Mel of Watertown, two children, Karl (Barb Butler) Wagner of Watertown and Rebecca (Jeff) Peterson of Duluth, GA., Eleven grandchildren, Haley (Kara Kephart) Wagner, Ryan (fiancée Cassandra Martin) Wagner, Chad Butler (Jen Claas), Kris Butler (Will Harrison), Nicole (Ryan) Wagner, Brandon (fiancée Amber Wisniewski) Wagner, Lance Wagner, Savannah Wagner, Breanna Wagner, Megan Peterson and Dana Peterson, two great-grandchildren, Jacob Butler and Kianna Harrison, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, a son Bradley on December 8, 2009 and a brother Herman Storbeck on February 5, 1990.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday October 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating. Innichement will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church, The Watertown Humane Society or The Marquardt Manor Foundation. The family would like to say special thanks to the staff at Marquardt Memorial Manor for their kindness and their loving devoted care.
