Norma P. Schumann, 99, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Marquardt Health Center.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2 o’clock p.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Todd Iverson officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 1 o’clock p.m. until the time of service. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Sunday School. The former Norma Pearl Daugs was born on June 20, 1919 in Milford, Wisconsin; daughter of the late Lewis and Lillian (Zabel, Saniter) Daugs. Norma graduated from Watertown Highschool with the class of 1938. Norma married Raymond Schumann on June 15, 1940 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1995.
Norma retired from Wisconsin Bell in 1976. She was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and AT&T Pioneers of America. Norma enjoyed watching sports, having breakfast with friends and family, and playing cards.
Survivors include a son; Richard Schumann of Oconomowoc, two granddaughters; Kelly Beltz of Watertown, Kim (Jon) Loomis of Watertown; four great-grandchildren: Alexander, Abigail, Isabella and Gabriel Beltz of Watertown. sister; Charlotte (Robert) Holt of Watertown, sisters-in-law; Shirley Saniter of Watertown, Ethel Schumann of Sheboygan, brother-in-law; Donald Heggestard of Stoughton. Norma was further survived by her very special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years; Raymond Schumann, her parents; Lewis and Lillian Daugs, brother and sister-in-law; Victor and Marge Daugs, brothers-in-law; Clarence Schumann of Watertown, John Schumann of Sheboygan, daughter-in-law; Deanna Schumann, step-father; Frank Saniter, four sisters; Ruth Heggestard, Evelyn Bliese, Dorothy Heiden, Sylvia Heinn.
Norma truly loved her family and friends. She was very social, loved to travel, outgoing and made everyone feel welcome and special. Norma was happy, positive and found joy and comfort in the Lord. She always had a smile on her face, infectious laughter and kindness in her heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
