Georgianne E. Lindemann, 82, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at her home.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Anthony Schultz and Rev. Justin Cloute officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Georgianne Erline Helmke was born on March 7, 1937 in Watertown, the daughter of George and Erline (nee Gritzner) Helmke. She was a 1955 graduate of Watertown High School. On February 27, 1965 she was united in marriage to Frank Lindemann at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Georgianne had worked at the Wisconsin Electric Power Co. in Milwaukee, Watertown’s Merchants National Bank, Watertown’s Wisconsin National Bank and then the Watertown School District where she was Secretary to the Business Manager and the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds. She retired from the district in March of 2000. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, the Wisconsin Educational Secretary Association, the Southern Wisconsin Instructional Secretaries Organization as well as the Watertown Musician’s Union. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, artwork, collecting real photo postcards, going to live theater, going to rummage sales and antiquing.
Georgianne is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Lindemann; children, Randall (Diana) Lindemann, Laurie Dittmar and Gay Reese; seven grandchildren; Rob (Katey) Higgins, Clinton Firari, Justin (Gina) Lindemann, Nathan (Brenna) Lindemann, Holly (Cory) Kuerschner, Kaitlyn Dittmar, and Bailey Reese; great-grandchildren, Grace, Owen, Gwen, Anna, Liam, Nola, Remmington and Bo ; sister-in-law, Doris Nehls; brother-in-law, Richard Lindemann as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
