Philip R. Mallow, 79, of Watertown, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at the home of his daughter, overlooking the farmland he owned for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 24th at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia, with the Rev. Edward Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 23rd at the Hafemeister Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Expansion Fund.

Philip Ronald was born in the Town of Ashippun on September 26, 1935, son of Alli H. and Loraine (Melcher) Mallow. He was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School. Phil was an LUTC fellow, where he received his Securities and Insurance Licenses.
On September 8, 1956, he married Barbara Claussen at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown.
For 50 years, Phil worked a cash crop farm. He was an insurance agent for 45 years for Met-Life in the Watertown area, in the Blue Lakes/Madison district.
Phil served on many church boards at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia and at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.
He enjoyed golfing and bowling and had a great love of fishing. Phil was very family oriented.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Watertown; his three children, Mike (Marlene) Mallow of Sheboygan; Carole (Gary) Muir of Watertown; Lynda Mallow of Watertown; his grandchildren, Adam (Cassondra) Mallow, Melissa (Matt) Lensmire, Andrew Mallow, Tiffany (Michael) Norman, Kayla and Emily Muir, Amanda Himmerich and Megan Himmerich; two step-great grandchildren, Noah Brotz and Lilly Brotz; a sister, Sharon (Norman) Melcher of Watertown; a sister-in-law, Joyce Mallow of Watertown, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rueben and Merlin Mallow and a sister-in-law, Ruth Weber.
