Karen A. Timm, 72, of Watertown, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Steele officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Casual attire is preferred. Karen Ann Beerbohm was born on February 3, 1947 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Watertown, the daughter of Bernice (nee Wright) and William O. Beerbohm Sr. She was a 1965 graduate of Watertown High School. On September 12, 1970 she married Allen Timm at First Baptist Church in Watertown. She had been employed at Culligan in Watertown from 1979-1987 prior to her employment at Marquardt Memorial Manor from 1987 until her retirement in 2011. Karen was a member of First Baptist Church in Watertown. She enjoyed watching sports, especially tennis and tennis player, Roger Federer. She was an avid Green Bay Packer, San Antonio Spurs, and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Karen made her house a home where friends came over and felt like family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer the last eight months and appreciated her family and friends by her side to support her.
Karen is survived by her husband, Allen Timm of Watertown; children, Tracy Timm, Michael Timm and Sheila Timm; brothers, David (Veronica) Beerbohm, Donald (Zona) Beerbohm and Larry (Bonnie) Beerbohm as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William O. Beerbohm Jr; brother, Jerry Beerbohm in infancy and sister, Shirley Mallow.
Karen was very close to her in-laws and appreciated their love and support throughout her life. She is further survived by Pat Schacker, Eugene “Peewee” and Cathy Kaczor, William “Billy” Timm as well as Jimmy and Carol Timm.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Rainbow Hospice for their compassionate care.
