Edward F. Ignarski, 85, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Gehler officiating. Military Honors will take place following the service. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, may be directed toward the family. Edward Frank Ignarski was born on June 3, 1934 in Milwaukee, the son of Bernard and Anna (Wojcik) Ignarski who immigrated from Poland. He was united in marriage to Nancy L. Garland on January 5th, 1957 at Saint Leo's in Milwaukee. He had been employed as an electrician at Milprint in Milwaukee. Edward and Nancy moved to Watertown for a better life where he was then employed at Menasha Corp. in Watertown. Edward was an avid Milwaukee Brewer, Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fan. He had been an active member of Regional Council of Carpenters, local 314. Most of all, Edward enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved music and had many musical talents which included singing and playing the piano and accordion. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening.
Edward is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Ignarski; children, Mary Ignarski of Watertown, Patty Ignarski of Watertown, Jim (Margie) Ignarski of Chippewa Falls, Cathy (Bob) Kurschner of Montana, Sue Walker of Ohio and Debbie (Steve) Vinsant of Georgia; grandchildren, Mike, Nick, Kristi, Tyler, Bobby, Alex, Justin, Matthew and Zachary; many great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Ignarski of Milwaukee as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, John Ignarski and brother, Eugene Ignarski.
