Georgene M. Fredrich, 93, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Riverview Assisted Living in Watertown.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Bezanson of Advent Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place at River Road Cemetery in Pipersville. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Georgene Mabel Mohr was born on March 24, 1926 on the family farm, the daughter of Walter and Ruth (nee Gronert) Mohr. On June 29, 1946 she was united in marriage to Robert Fredrich at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hubbleton. Robert preceded her in death on June 17, 1996. Georgene worked on the family farm until her employment at Midwest Shoe factory where she met her husband. She later worked for Lindberg Hevi-Duty and later Sola Basic Industries, from which she retired. Georgene was a member of Advent Christian Church in Watertown where she played the organ for many years. She was active at the Watertown Senior Center where she was a member of the choir. Georgene was a lifetime member of Ladies VFW #3709. She served as secretary of WH & FM. She loved gardening, genealogy and craft work, especially beading.
Georgene is survived by her daughter, Diane Allen Fredrich of East Troy; grandson, Bradley Robert (Natalie) Allen of Cabot, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Araminta, Anthony and Jayden Allen; brother, Lawrence Mohr of Watertown; sister, Charlotte Baars of Watertown; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Mohr and Alice (Bud) Baumann; nephews and niece, Bill (Gloria) Baumann, John (Debbie) Fredrich, Randy (Francis) Mohr, Allan (Brenda) Mohr, Gloria (Don Degn) Baumann and Bill (Kathy) Baumann. She was further preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Victor Mohr and Everett Mohr; brothers-in-law, Wilbur (Ruth) Fredrich and Howard (Verona) Fredrich as well as son-in-law, Sherman “Sherm” Allen. She is also survived by brothers and sisters of Sherm Allen: Mary Allen, Darlene Allen, Bobby (Gloria) Allen, Dale (Linda) Allen, Bill Allen and LaVern (Bruce) Peterson.
