Benjamin D. Sobolesky, 88, of Watertown, passed away at the Watertown Regional Medical Center on Friday, October 31, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Memorials, in Benjamin’s name, may be directed to St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital.

Benjamin Donald was born in Ironwood, Michigan on August 18, 1926, son of Benjamin and Jinnie (Radomski) Sobolesky. He married Mary Virginia Higgins in Milwaukee in 1969.
He was a 1944 graduate of Luther Wright High School and a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Benjamin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After owning and operating the Ardmore Bar in Milwaukee for many years, he and Mary moved to Watertown, where he enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee, and discussing the world’s problems.
He loved sports, and enjoyed bowling and golf for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Watertown; two children, Barbara (Jerry) Peirick of Gilbert, AZ; Mike (Sue) Weihert of Watertown; five grandchildren, Bridgett (Donald) Greenberg, Jay (Charlotte) Peirick, Nicholas Weihert, Patrick (Jessie) Weihert, Andrew Weihert (girl-friend Abigail Fox), five great grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson, Gavin Greenberg, Alex and Brantley Peirick; a brother, Jerome (Mary) Sobolesky of Milwaukee, as well as other relatives and friends.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents.
