Thomas E. Doyle, 82, of Watertown, formerly of Port Washington, passed away with his family by his side, on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November, 17, 2012 at 11AM, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert officiating. No visitation will be held. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to St. Henry Catholic church or to Rainbow Hospice. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is serving the family. Thomas Edward Doyle was born on June 13, 1930, the son of Thomas E. Sr., and Bertha (Vourron) Doyle in Pittsburgh, PA. On September 1, 1956 he married the former Joan Matous at Holy Innocents Church in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tom served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Forward Observer with the 1st Marine Division on the front lines during the Korean War. Tom graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Tom worked as a researcher at the Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, and more recently as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Freeman Chemical in Port Washington. In his retirement he was a consultant for Omni Tech in Midland, MI. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington for 42 years.
Tom is survived by his wife Joan of Watertown; four children: Kathy (Don) Kleckner of Watertown, Tom (Sherry) Doyle of Winneconne, Jim (Carolyn) Doyle of Monterey, CA, Pat (Karen) Doyle of Palatine, IL; five grandchildren: Karen (Joe) Mallow, Melissa (Craig) Wesemann, Megan (Robert) Reif, Patty Doyle, Ted Doyle; two great-grandchildren: Ann Mallow and Harper Wesemann, brother-in-law; Joe (Margie) Matous of Cedarburg, sister-in-law; MaryAnne Walsh of Newport Beach, CA., along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dan and Paul Doyle.
