Mary Rohr, 83, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on November 18th after a brief illness at Rainbow Hospice Care in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin.

Mary Jean Draeger was born on March 14, 1933 at St. .Mary's Hospital in Watertown. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Draeger and Idabel Weiss Draeger, her step-mother Eloise Hoppe Draeger, and her husband Herman Rohr.

She is survived by son David, his wife Karen and her beloved granddaughter Megan of Carver, MN. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Terry and Carol Rohr of Oro Valley, Arizona.

Mary was a 1951 graduate of Watertown High School. As a sophomore she asked Herman to the Sadie Hawkins dance, they began dating and were married on May 12th, 1953. They were together until his death on February 2nd, 2009.

She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown as well as a member of Friends of the Library and the Watertown Historical society. She was also a former Blood Bank chairman and a volunteer at the Octagon House.

Mary was employed at First State Savings (later First Financial Bank) as a personal banker from 1977 to 1992.

Mary enjoyed playing cards and was a member of many bridge clubs. She and Herman also enjoyed a lifelong passion for traveling, sports and music.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Todd Iverson of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and Rev. Terry Larson officiating. Burial will take place at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to Friends of the Watertown Library, the Watertown Historical Society or Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
