Orabelle I. Jaeger, age 88, of Lake Mills, passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013.
Orabelle was born on February 2, 1925, in Concord, the daughter of Chester and Rose (Pilgrim) Ingersoll. She married Edward O. Jaeger on June 2, 1944 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.
She belonged to St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helenville, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.
Through the years, she held a passion for crafting and had various jobs involving mending and sewing. She enjoyed rubber stamping and making her own greeting cards. For many years, she worked at an antique mall, and was talented in making Victorian-style lampshades. She was a devoted friend, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always supporting and encouraging her family and friends throughout her life.
Orabelle is survived by her children Dean (Shirley) Jaeger and Bonnie (Arvid) Pufahl; her brothers Jerald (Jane) Ingersoll and Les Ingersoll; sisters Nora Lee Bennett and Shelby Jean Ingersoll; her grandchildren Tom (Theresa) Jaeger, Steven (Jennifer) Jaeger, Rachelle Jaeger, Gary (Kristine) Pufahl, Casey (Laura) Pufahl, Greg (Jenny) Pufahl, Glen (Kaitlyn) Pufahl and Crystal (Tim) Rennicke; her great-grandchildren, Douglas, Christopher, Rayna and Charlotte Jaeger, Kayla, Cody and Chelsea Gumz, Emma, Ryan, Anna, Kaylee, Grace, Jacob, Samuel and Malachi Pufahl, Hailey and Nolan Rennicke; step-granddaughters Sarynn Anderson and Mikki Drinkwater, step-great-grandchildren, Tess, Tatum and Holden, and other relatives and friends.
Orabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Jaeger and her brother Ronald Ingersoll.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Helenville with the Rev. Lance A. Hoff officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Evergreen Cemetery in Helenville. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the music department of Lakeside Lutheran High School.
