Betty J. Schilberg, 88, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc with Rev. Steven Pagels officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5-8PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the St. Matthew’s Pew Cushion Fund, Aurora Visiting Nurse Association or the charity of ones choice. Betty Jane Kohls was born on November 19, 1925 to Louis and Johanna (Maas) Kohls. On July 26, 1947 she married LeRoy E. Schilberg at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2011.
Betty was a graduate of Watertown High School and was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also liked playing cards.
Survivors include her five children, Larry (Bobbi) Schilberg, Sharon (Carl) Beyer, Debra (Tim) King and Tammy Lindemann, all of Watertown and Brenda (Duane) Scherret of Reeseville; twelve grandchildren, Shaun (Andrea Watson) Schilberg, Terri Schilberg, Robin Beyer, Christopher Beyer, Brad Zoellick, Jodi (Andy Brinkmann) Zoellick, Jennifer (Tim) Sommers, Mike Lindemann, Kelly (Aaron Temby) Lindemann, Sara Lindemann, Whitney Scherret, Nathaniel Scherret; two step-grandchildren, CaTrina (Chris) Schwandt, and John (Nicole) King, seven great-grandchildren, Mariah Beyer, Cole Zoellick, Sierra Schilberg, Kaden Sommers, Carson Lindemann, Nolan Sommers, Nevaeh Beyer; three step-great-grandchildren, Alexia, Logan and Gavin Schwandt, a sister Alice Krause, a brother Kenny (Nancy) Kohls, a brother-in-law Ross Canniff, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was further preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Margie Watson, Evie Kohls, Shirley Canniff; two brothers, Eugene Kohls, and Richard Kohls.

The family would like to thank Shelley Myhre of Aurora VNA for all of her loving care and concern for both Mom and us.
