Arthur “Art” J. Fenner, age 84 of Helenville, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Arthur Joseph Fenner was born on May 13, 1932 in Milwaukee, the son of Arthur F. and Viola (nee Wagner) Fenner. Arthur served in the United States Army during the Korean War, 1952-1954. On November 6, 1954, he married Antoinette J. Schopp. They recently celebrated their 62 wedding anniversary. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad until 1985 and then farmed until 2014. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington.
Art is survived by his wife, Antoinette Fenner; 12 children, Bernice (Richard) Sweo of Rhinelander; Deobra (David) Kopplin of Watertown; Barbara (Larry) Waters of Cambria; Dennis Fenner of Watertown; Mike (Lori) Fenner, also of Watertown; Karen ( late John) Bankert; Pauline Rams-Floryance of Oconomowoc; Brenda (Steve) Nelson of Jefferson; Tom (Gitte) Fenner of Lake Mills; Henry (Bonnie) Fenner of Watertown; Bridget (Buster) Nelson of Texas; Jim Fenner of Amherst as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further survived by sisters, Shirley (Max) Bergeman; Carol (late Joe) Caspery of Theresa; brother, Clarence (Beth) Fenner as well as sister-in-law, Beverly Schopp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law; brother, Frank Fenner; sisters, Leona Elmer and Virginia Pleester as well as sister-in-law, Bonnie Fenner and niece, Wanda.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington with Rev. Paul Burk officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Rainbow Hospice or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family.
