Darrel A. Zerbe, ďMICKĒ 58, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at his home,
with his family beside him. He fought a very courageous battle against cancer.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paulís Episcopal Church, 413 S. Second Street, Watertown, WI with Rev. Elizabeth Tester officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Darrelís remains will be placed in the parish columbarium. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to Rainbow Hospice or the family of Darrel. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Darrel Alfred Zerbe was born on November 28, 1960 in Oconomowoc, the son of Nancy (nee Klempke) and Dale Zerbe Sr. On September 25, 1982 he married Cyndy Wakeley at St. Paulís Episcopal Church in Watertown. He owned his own trucking business, Darrel Zerbe and Son LLC. He later sold the company and then went to work at Kroger in Oconomowoc. Darrel was a member of St. Paulís Episcopal Church in Watertown. He enjoyed riding his Harley, going camping ,cooking & grilling and doing yardwork. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was always willing to help a friend or someone in need.
Darrel is survived by his wife, Cyndy Zerbe of Watertown; children, Jessica (Ricky) Reich of Watertown and Greg (Christine) Zerbe of Watertown; grandchildren, Logan Zerbe, Makenna Reich and Preston Reich; siblings, Dale (Tammy) Zerbe of Neillsville WI, Roger (Jodi) Zerbe of Merrill, WI, Tammie (Denton) Gordon of Merrill WI, Amy Brunner of Stevens Point, WI and Rodney (Rose) Zerbe of Schofield, WI as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Bruhn; nephews, Chad Bruhn and Jeshua Zerbe as well as niece, Ambie Zerbe.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Rainbow Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
