Carol N. Field, age 58, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at University Hospital in Madison.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Todd Iverson officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Mill Dog Rescue or your local animal shelter. Carol Naomi Arthur was born on August 18, 1959 in Watertown, the daughter of James and Mary Anne (nee Rhodee) Arthur. She grew up in Fond du Lac WI. A 1977 graduate of Goodrich High School, she received her Associates Degree in nursing from Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac. Carol moved to the Watertown area to work as an LPN at Bethesda Lutheran Homes, where she later enjoyed being a camp nurse at Camp Matz. Her nursing career also included many years as a clinic nurse with Dr. Terry Turke and Dr. James Milford.
While in high school, Carol played flute in concert band and marched with the Marquis Drum & Bugle Corps, including two trips to National DCI competitions. An advocate for animal rights, she loved all animals and was passionate against animal cruelty. She enjoyed gardening and all types of music. Other hobbies included interior decorating, reading, and restoring antiques and collectables.
Carol is survived by her children: Cameron (fiancée Sammi Jo Zubke) Field, Heidi Field and Georgia (Max Haenel) Field: step-children, Katie (Josh) Kerwin and Nicole (Charles) Loppnow; all of Watertown. She is further survived by her mother, Mary Arthur; sister, Judith Henning; and nephew, Ian (Emily) Arthur, all of Fond du Lac; as well as her beloved pets: dogs, Boo and Pixie and cats, Lila and Scout. She was preceded in death by her father, James Arthur and brother-in-law, David Henning, both of Fond du Lac.
