Carol E. Gronert, 89, of Watertown, passed away Sunday morning, November 10, 2013 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehab Center.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Watertown Moravian Church at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Barbara Berg officiating.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Saturday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to the Watertown Humane Society.

Carol Elois Taylor was born in Carroll, Iowa on September 24, 1924, daughter of Harold and Catherine (Hansen) Taylor.
On June 12, 1946, she married Stanley F. Gronert at Lake Mills Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2005.
Carol was a member of the Watertown Moravian Church, where she served on the Board of Trustees, taught Sunday school for 30 years and was choir director. Carol was involved in various women’s groups, belonged to the Saturday Club, was a Cub Scout Leader, and volunteered at the Watertown Memorial Hospital for 35 years.
She enjoyed collecting antiques, her home on Flambeau Flowage and helping people.
Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed doing ceramics with her husband for over twenty years.
Survivors include her son, Richard Gronert of Watertown; her grandchildren, Adam (Sharon) Gronert of Appleton and Kate (Bree) Gronert of Rochester, MN; three great grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail and Emily; two sisters, Ruth Topel of Lake Mills; Eleanor Brayton of Oklahoma City, OK; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Bill) Hanck of Chicago, IL; brothers-in-law, Ray Ryan and Harvard Luetzow, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Harriet Luetzow; a brother, Robert Taylor; brothers-in-law, Ora Topel, Robert Brayton and a sister-in-law, Barbara Ryan.
