William L. Beerbohm
William L. Beerbohm, Jr. 74, of Watertown, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
William was born in Watertown on October 20, 1938, son of William Sr. and Bernice (Wright) Beerbohm. He attended school in Watertown and on November 6, 1966, he and Inez Ritter were united in marriage at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Neosho.
William had been employed at the Harry Boyum Grocery Store in Watertown, the Badger State Bottling Company, also in Watertown and at Schweiger Industries in Jefferson for more than 30 years. After retirement he worked at Karma in Watertown and being the self acclaimed upholsterer that he was, he took great pride in reupholstering a lot of furniture for many people in the area out of his home.
William was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown and enjoyed goose & deer hunting, fishing, watching local softball and baseball games, and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Survivors include his wife, Inez of Watertown; his mother, Bernice of Watertown; his daughter, Sharon (Scott) Kumbier of Watertown; he was the proud grandfather of Morgan Rachel & Blake William Kumbier, of Watertown; his brothers and sisters, Caroline (Kitty) Evans, Donald (Zona) Beerbohm, David (Veronica) Beerbohm, Karen (Allen) Timm, Larry (Bonnie) Beerbohm; a sister-in-law, Agatha Ritter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his extended family, Susan Feilbach & family.
William was preceded in death by his father, William Beerbohm Sr., a sister, Shirley Mallow; a brother, Jerry Beerbohm; a brother-in-law, Roland Ritter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hilbert & Marcella Koepsell and a sister-in-law, Clara Mae Phelps.
The funeral service for William will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15th at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown, with the Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Rainbow Hospice.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful nursing, aide, social worker staff at Rainbow Hospice for making Bill’s last days so peaceful and spiritually gratifying.
