Norma M. Schultz, age 76, of Watertown, passed away on Monday December 17, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Watertown.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke and Rev. Maurice Hoppe officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to St. John’s Lutheran School or to the charity of one’s choice. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is serving the family. The former Norma Mae Schlender was born on August 2, 1936 inWatertown the daughter of Oscar and Esther (Hoppe) Schlender. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1955. On May 26, 1956 she married Orville L. Schultz at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Richwood with Rev. Roy Brassow officiating. Norma enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, gardening, canning, puzzles, reading and camping. Norma was well known for her elaborate Christmas Village, which she had been collecting buildings and accessories for, the past forty years. Norma was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church inWatertown and AARP #3056. In early years Norma was a member of the Watertown Badgers 4-H Club and Indian Gardens Homemakers until she moved to the city in 1967. She was employed at the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Watertown and Bethesda Lutheran Home inWatertown for twenty-nine years until her retirement in 1997.

Norma is survived by her husband, Orville of Watertown; three sons, Tom (Diane) Schultz, Tim (Anna) Schultz and Terry (Denise) Schultz all of Watertown; ten grandchildren, Thomas “TJ” Schultz, Casey (Sarah) Schultz, Haley Schultz, Tyler Schultz, Jordon Schultz, Micky Schultz, Hayden Schultz, Brad Bruschnig, Amber (Chris) Kruesel and April Bruschnig; four great-grandchildren, Jaydin Bruschnig, Kaycia Wilson, William Kruesel and MyKell Wilson, two brothers, Milton (Nancy) Schlender of Juneau and Wallace (Louise) Schlender of Watertown; three sisters, Helen (Gordon) Campbell of West Allis, Judy (Alvin) Gudenkauf of Watertown and Dorothy Schroeder of Johnson Creek, her brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Gerrie) Schultz of Watertown and two sisters-in-law, Diane Schultz of Jefferson and Elaine Schlender of Watertown, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Delores Schultz, a brother LeRoy Schlender, a sister-in-law Katherine Schlender and three brothers-in-law, James Schroeder, Clarence Schultz and Ray Schultz.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living for the wonderful care given to Norma during her stay.
