Patricia “Patsy” J. DaWalt, age 78, of Watertown passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by her children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Patrick Wendler officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Watertown Catholic Youth Center or to the family. Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Patricia Joan Fendt was born on June 11, 1938 in Watertown, the daughter of Frederick “Fritz” and Genevieve (nee Hrobsky) Fendt. She was a 1955 graduate of Watertown High School. On September 10, 1960, she married David “Clipper” B. DaWalt at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. She had been employed by Wisconsin Bell in Watertown as a telephone operator before starting her family. Patsy loved being a housewife and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was nurturing, loving and caring and was truly the rock of her family. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. She was a great cook and loved hosting family gatherings at her home, especially Packer parties. Patsy enjoyed bowling and loved trips to Potawatomi. She was very strong in her faith.
Patsy is survived by seven children, her daughters, Laura (Kent) Zautner, Beth (Calvin) Rose, Shell (Rick) McFarland, Tricia (Thad) Voigt, Pam (Doug) Kohls, all of Watertown; her sons, John (Mandy) DaWalt of Irmo, SC, Chris (Jenny) DaWalt of Watertown; fourteen grandchildren, Kyle (Emily) McFarland, Abby (fiancé John Ziegler) Zautner, Ben (Teresa Price) Zautner, David (Emily) McFarland, Paige (Samuel) Neumueller, Clint (Sarah Meylor) Rose, Genelle (fiancé Josh Caine) McFarland, Karli Kohls, Faron Voigt, Carson DaWalt, Alek Voigt, Grayson DaWalt, Kyanna Kohls and Shay DaWalt as well as great-grandson, Cal McFarland. She is further survived by siblings, Fred Fendt, Gerri (Ozzie) Beal; Don (Maxine) Fendt, Helen (John) Duffek, Judy Kuehn, Paul (Diane) Fendt, Jean (Fred) Roethle, all of Watertown; brother-in-law, Bill (Treash) DaWalt of Arkansas as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister-in-law, Joan (Gene) Beckett as well as brothers-in-law, Red Kuehn and Dick (Kate) DaWalt.
