Joyce J. Keach
Joyce J. Keach (nee Huebner), age 82, of Clyman, Wisconsin passed away to her Heavenly home, Sunday, December 17, 2017 with her loving family by her side.
Joyce Jean Huebner was born in Grafton, Wisconsin on February 19, 1935 to Emmett and Florence (nee Schnitger) Huebner. She grew up in Watertown where she attended local schools. Joyce married Gordon Keach on July 9, 1970 and they lovingly lived together in Clyman for 47 years.
Joyce had a career at Brandt's in Watertown and Aunt Nellie's in Clyman. When she retired she pursued her love for bird watching, flowers, gardening and her quiet time at their cottage on Lake Jordan. The cottage life provided endless family memories for celebrations, fishing from the pier for her beloved blue gills or in a quiet chair from which to read and gaze out at the lake wild life.
Joyce enjoyed being an active and engaged grandparent. She played an important role in her grandchildren's lives. She showed her love for her family through her cooking. You could always count on your favorite meal for your birthday, no matter how outrageous the request! She was famous for her wine basted turkey on the Weber and her family's all time favorite Christmas candy. She was a long standing member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman where she served on the Altar Guild.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Gordon Keach; her three children, Denise (Tom) Dornfeld of San Diego, Timothy (Mary) Dornfeld of Clyman and Michael Dornfeld of San Diego; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Joan Sterwald of Watertown and Janice (Lee) Johnson of Monona; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Schuett of Watertown and Peg Keach of Portland as well as brothers-in-law, Dale (Barb) Keach of Markisen and Wayne (Grace) Keach of Fox Lake.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rodger and Warren, three brothers-in-law, William Sterwald, Jim Keach, Keith (Betty) Keach and a sister-in-law, Lynn Keach.
A memorial service will take place on Friday December, 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman with Rev. Michael Schempf officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman, Wisconsin or to the charity of one's choice.
The family would like to thank the staff at UW Hospital-Madison, for the respect, excellent care and compassion they extended to Joyce and her family.
